We are offering 4 Scholarships to those families that currently qualify for free lunch or partial lunch payments in their school district. Parents and players, please take into consideration in your ability to commit to attending practices and games. If your child will be unable to participate in the majority of practices and / or games then this league may not be right for them. We recognize and support students participating in multiple sports / activities. We ask that during the basketball season that players commit to basketball in fairness to their teammates, i.e. do not skip basketball practice to attend practice for a out of season sports or in general.

The first 2 weeks of the program will be dedicated to improving skills based on a rubric table used by coaches during the tryout process to measure skill level. At the end of those two weeks, players will be put through a simulated tryout. There will be two tryouts throughout the program, The first tryout is referred to as “the draft tryout” and the second simply “the final tryout”. These tryouts will reflect as close as possible to an actual tryout. During the tryout everything from how the players come into the door to how they leave the gym will be evaluated. The rubric table spoken about before is filled with specific actions the coaches running the tryout will be looking for when accessing each player. For example, below is a exceptional (4) footwork metric
If the player satisfies this metric, they will be given a 4 in terms of foot work.
